The Nordic Institute for Studies in Innovation, Research and Education (NIFU) is an independent, private social science research institute, based in Oslo. Publications in this open access repository are available under the CC-BY licence.
NIFU’s roots stretch back to the 1950s. It was established as a division within the Norwegian Research Council for Science and the Humanities (NAVF). The division demerged from NAVF in 1996 and became the Norwegian Institute for Studies in Research and Education (NIFU). In 2004, NIFU merged with the STEP Group - Centre for Innovation Research. The merged group was named NIFU STEP. The institution changed its name to NIFU Nordic Institute for Studies in Innovation, Research and Education in 2011.Samlinger i dette delarkivet
