dc.description.abstract | This paper deals with three issues: First it describes the Norwegian R&D system and discusses general trends and key issues in Norwegian research policy. Second, it compares comparative advantages of Norwegian research with comparative advantages of research activities in South Africa. Third, the paper ascertains research areas that do not fall under the current eight priority areas in the South Africa-Norway Cooperation Programme, and discusses this on the background of national priorities and the comparative advantages of Norwegian research. | nb_NO |
