Dimensions of Research and Innovation Policies to Address Grand and Global Challenges

Abstract

Through our selective and cursory overview of a few cases and aspects of the international development of R&I policies framed in terms of addressing grand and global challenges, we find then a number of recurring issues and dimensions that will have to be included in framing, implementing and assessing what may be, or become, a novel type of R&I policy.
