dc.description.abstract | A starting point for a brief description of the Norwegian health science and innovation system (HSIS) may be the R&D expenditure in medicine and health, based on the R&D statistics for the latest available year (1997), see Figure 1. Norwegian Institute for Studies in Research and Higher Education (NIFU) is both the compiler of R&D statistics in the higher education sector and the government sector and the co-ordinator for national R&D statistics, including the business enterprise sector. Statistics Norway compiles R&D statistics in the business enterprise sector. | en_US |
